The Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Technical and Vocational Education, Arch Dapo Ademola-Adesina has assured of the Governor’s commitment to revamping the 9 Technical Colleges in the State.
He stated this during a meeting with the Principals of the 9 Technical Colleges at a meeting held at the secretariat of the Osun State Board for Technical and Vocational Education, Osogbo.
Stressing on the Governor’s passion to improve the education sector in the State, the Special Adviser reiterated that Senator Ademola Adeleke is still committed to his 5 point agenda in which education is of utmost priority.
After listening to the challenges of the 9 Technical Colleges as stated by the Principals of the schools, Arch( Dr.) Ademola-Adesina assured them that the present administration will do the needful to improve the situation of things.
In his words, “I have been mandated by the Executive Governor of Osun State to restore the lost glory of the Technical and Vocational Education in the state.
“You should know that it is you and I that would do it together; I need your cooperation and support to succeed o. this mission.” We must put heads together to make things right and I want the colleges to be self-sufficient so please work with me.”
He therefore advocated for monthly meetings of all principals, directors of the technical colleges, promising to host them at the Ministry of Education alongside the Chairman and some members of House Committee on Education.
